I rushed to join the Fortnite live event this June, but I nearly missed it all since I thought it was just a regular event. I admit that I often am confused about when these events are supposed to take place (even after years of playing it).
Still, the June 7th event is truly huge. In this event named the “Death Star Sabotage,” Epic Games will release this trailer at 2 PM ET during Summer Game Fest 2025. You definitely should not skip this movie.
What Is Happening with Fortnite’s Live Event?
This new storyline has been built up as the final part of the “Galactic Battle”. You can spot moments in the trailer where players assault the Death Star AND go into space to fight using X-Wings. As you can guess, Star Wars characters and storylines are taken to their fullest extent here.
After seeing the teasers, I have to say everyone must be impressed. It seems as if this movie is going to be totally over the top. There are moments like Death Star explosions, fighting in space, really big action.
Why and when did this occur?
I almost made a big mistake at this point (and you might do the same if you’re not cautious).
On Saturday, June 7, 2025, the main event will start at 11 AM PT and 2 PM ET.
However, please note that you can join the event playlist as early as 9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET.
If you want to look good, make sure to get involved as soon as possible. Like, seriously. There isn’t enough room in these events, and if you wait too long, you may only watch on Twitch rather than participating.

Okay, now it’s time to talk about the main points because this is where most people feel lost.
The very first thing to do is to log into Fortnite well before the competition.
You should start checking at 11:30 AM ET, half an hour before the playlist is released.
Keep your game up to date at all times to ensure you don’t have any connection problems when joining events
Secondly, you need to use the Discover section and find the best event to join.
You will be able to play the “Death Star Sabotage” mode from noon ET through the Discover tab. You’ll probably see these right away since they are commonly shown in the game.

Helpful Points to Avoid a Disaster
Here are some things I‘ve discovered through past experience:
Ensure that your Technology is Ready before You Begin
Update Fortnite before it’s time to start your tournament.
Ensure your internet connection works well without any outage.
Quit running any apps/programs that may result in lagging.
Make sure your headphones are nearby, because the quality of the sounds completes the deal.
Mully’s chances increased when the timing of events was right.
Don’t believe that you’ll easily get in to the cinema just because you arrived when the movie was starting. The queue being open at noon is meant to help you – make use of it.
Make a back-up strategy just in case.
Should the servers get overloaded (which… happens a lot with big online events), you can use Twitch as a backup streaming site. Although it isn’t the same as the game, at least you’ll get to follow the story.

Once the Death Star saga is over, the next thing is Chapter 6 Season 3. Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 has just been released, but I think there could be some additional changes ahead.
